Too many politics, overheads, and insurance issues. I would go, but no time for the organization.

Well you are competing with national organizations like NASA and SCCA. Don't forget the timing equipment, cones, PA system etc.

We can always just meet at the local SCCA events, they happen often enough, and then there is no hassle with trying to run an event on our own. And it will be far safer too.
