I haven't installed it yet so I don't know how much of the sun I'll see. I hope its not like swiss cheese. I paid $2400 + shipping new from a vendor. Water shouldn't leak because of the resin.

Never seen such poor workmanship. I'd return it personally and wouldn't install anything of that quality on my car.

2400, must have been rockstar. Did they tell you they used a "premium" carbon and finish?

That's a pretty steep price for that kind of workmanship. I remember my previous forbidden double cf top, new, being only what 1700-ish with shipping.

That's exactly how much my wife paid when she got me the double weave with pre-installed window as a gift. No sunlight coming through at all. Fitment wasn't the best but was able to get it about 9/10 and it's holding up just fine after 2 years. The $2400 is a steep price IMO.

Thanks for your inputs guys. It wasn't purchased by Forbidden and it looks like I'll be returning it because there are other issues with this top. I had a somewhat lengthy conversation over the phone looking at other options other than returning it but the offers and options I have been given by the vendor won't do justice to this over promised and under delivered product. They did offer it to take it back for a refund and it looks like I'll be doing just that.

Tried to PM you OP, but looks like you can't receive messages. I am seriously looking into an aftermarket HT and the company I am looking at has theirs priced similarly to what you paid. I don't want to put the mfr. on blast, but does it start with a B?

Hey sorry, I'm not sure whats with the messenger but I finally got off my ass and did a semi install to see how it would look in the sun. I'm sorry to say but the level of quality is poor. I'm not sure if I have high standards or this top was made with shortcuts to save money and increase profit. Whatever the reason, I think I'm gonna return this top due to the "transparency" and other quality issues.
