has anyone ever had experience with icon helmets b4, hoe is the ventalation, or the safety or it, i cant find a review on it, so as of right now its purely based on cosmetics , and that kind of scares me.

I like the way Shoei fits on me. Ventilation isn't too bad since on my helmet, there's vents at the top of the head, in the back, and where the chin area is. It does fog up a little but if you leave the visor cracked open a little, the fogging goes away.

I don't think I know anyone that has icon helmets. Most people I know are using Arai or Shoei.

red might confuse the EMT's, I'd go with the black and white one.

I've seen after pics of crash results and arai helmets that saved a few noggins..

Not saying Icon is a bad brand, but I just don't know too much about them and have seen the pics that support the quality of arai and shoei helmets.. Suomy would be another brand i would personally consider.

Just make sure the one you get fits correctly, ventilates the way you want it to and is dot and snell approved. I like the way shoei helmets fit on me and i like the quality and finish of shoei.

Put the helmet on, walk around the store and wear it for like 15 mins and see if it presses in against the side of your head. That's how I discovered some brands weren't working for me. After wearing it for 15 mins, the helmet was pressed against the side of my head that I started to get a headache from wearing it.

I love my helmet

I like the new 2007 shoei camber helmet

i use the dainese airstream course helmet, and i love it.. super comfy and ventilates really well - simple design too..

but before i used that helmet, i used the Arai Rx-7? i forget exactly what ti's called now.. but that is super comfy, and is designed kind of like the ones you're looking at..

but back on topic, i like the black helmet with the red bike..

dont see that many folks wearing it so not sure about quality. keep noise and weight in mind. by the looks of it, it seems heavy and noisy due to all the vents. road rider near you so try on everything and see what fits which what's most important. +1 on arai or shoei and you don't necessarilly have to get the corsair or the x11.

would it be wrong of me to say

Cheaper helmet is to : Gap

as to

Better name brand helmet is to : Banana Republic

being that they are made my the same manufacturer but sourced out as a different product name. i.e. brands such as HJC helmets being made by shoei.
