Do you guys think a 09 s2000 is worth $29k?

Sorry I thought I stated this in the first post but this is from a private party seller, NOT DEALER.
GOOD Value is $28,325
(I was told years ago by professionals that no used car is ever qualifies for EXCELLENT Value except those rare circumstances)

If this helps, I bought my MY07 in 2007 with 40 miles for 29,000 flat before tax/license. (This is from a DEALERSHIP so private party "should" be cheaper) So it seems like they're asking for way to much for a used car. They could be using a lame excuse like "2009 is the last production year for the S2000 blah blah blah" Just keep looking Rick I'm sure you'll find one for a better price.

Well it's less than a year old, he paid a lot of tax on that and the list was $34. So you're getting the car for 5-6k less. That's $1/mile, or about twice the allowed rate of 55cents for mileage expense.
That said, why pay so much? You could buy two S2000's for that. I got mine for 15.7 04 61K. For what you're about to pay you could buy an older well maintained model and get a second motor (if miles are your concern). The 10K saved is likely more than the maintenance for the rest of the cars life. There's just so much you can do with $30k I wouldn't be in a rush to buy an 09.
The seller is justified in their price. But it's only worth what you're willing to pay for it. If you must have the last year in that color etc pay for it. Or you could wait 2 years and get it for 18k. 07-08 go for 18-23k with low miles. Or you can get 04-05's with 40-60K for 14-16K. I'm sure you're well researched on this.
If I was the seller, there is no way I'd take a massive hit on a rare car, with 6K in mint condition. Nor would anyone else here saying it's a rip off. None of these people would give away their car at a steal of a price. There will be someone who wants it and willing to pay.

Yea that's the point of my questions, I feel it's awfully high and not true to market value.
KBB Private Party value in "GOOD" condition puts it at basically $28k but rarely do you ever sell a car for that figure.
Having money doesn't mean I want to throw it away, just curious what dealers are selling 2009 new cars for these days?
623baller: Yea I miss my Rio s2000 but it's ok since I'm anxious to start my next s2000 build and this one will be even better than the Rio with more hp!

Just an FYI I get more than KBB when I sell a car.
All in all, a value of the car is determined by what the buyer is willing pay.
I was messing around at the dealer to see what I could get for my CR, they gave me 26,600 as their trade in value.
