Default Do 2004 S2000 need the X-brace?

Anyone have experience with this? My car was totalled and I'm getting a 2004. Do I still need an X-brace? The magazines all say that the 2004 has a stiffer chassis.

So I have one....it's fairly cheap and aids in chassis stiffness. Did you take you old one off?

I guess it depends on what your definition of "need" is. I believe the MY04 chassis is stiffer and the X-brace will be less beneficial than in MY00-03 models...though I'm sure it can only help
I believe the MY00-03 X-brace will bolt on to the MY04 models correctly.
