Just got mine due 10/02/03 $611.00!!!!!!!


It's suppossed to be $250.00 or so!!!!

The VLF portion of your registration is tax deductible (at least on your Fed return). Your registration renewel paperwork will list the different fees, and those that are based on the value of the vehicle can be deducted.

I don't know which space you put it on your itemized deduction form ("miscellaneous taxes?") since I use TurboTax and it just asks for the $$$ amount.

Deductible doesn't mean you get it back! I'd rather have $260.00
in my pocket then get $80-$90 dollars back in taxes!!!

Will the fee be increased for first time buyers coming to register there car at the DMV? Or is it for Annual renewal only?
