Not to mention I heard that tuition at the UC's will go up 40% this coming year... talk about a screwed up economy.

i have a 00 model and the DMV renewal fee is around $129 (Sept) this year.

For those who dodged the bullet (mine was due last week), if you want to see what you'll pay next year(it'll be a little less, because it decreases by a set % each year), look at your registration bill. That "VLF Offset = -$XXX" is what is going away.

On the bright side, it is tax deductible if you itemize.

Any way to sell your car back to yourself for $1000 and reduce fees that way?
