For me, it doesn't matter whether we do a drive somewhere or do a cruise in SF. But since the popular opinion is to do a cruise in SF, so I have to press ahead. Unless there is suddenly a 180 degree change in popular opinion, we can't scrap the SF cruise part.

For those of you who doesn't want to do the cruise part, you can always join us at the Marin side Vista Pt. We will get spirited from there.

Yeah.. after the stressful but probably memorable city cruise, we will lash it out at Southern Marin!

BTW, I eliminated Boardway Tunnel and Chinatown from the route on the top of this page. The route gets a bit simpler now.

Wait, you want to get alot of cars at Vista Point on *the weekend*?Good luck!!!

Also, if you're thinking about doing the Marin Headlands as a spirited ride, ferget it... too many tourists as well and it's a one way road so slow traffic is enevitable.

Guess I'll just see you guys at Point "A" and then go on a great drive through the *real* marin backroads after that.

Sounds like alot of fun, I might be able to be there. I just need to sell some cars this week so I can skip a saturday and not have it affect my cash flow. But I really wanna go, I just got my S2K and really wanna meet other more experienced drivers, and see more S2Ks (especially modded ones! ).

As for parking, Ocean beach has enough parking to house an army, and something that might be cool is a photo on top of the 1000 Van Ness/AMC parking garage, but it'll hard cuz of the paying part.

And I love loki's idea, rippin' thru the backroads of marin sounds like alot of fun!!

PS
If anyone knows anyone looking for a honda/acura just let me know. I'll give you a no BS deal, volume is always welcome by the GM and UC Mngr. S2000s, Odysseys, CR-Vs, and MDX hard to help , but anything else I'll get the fairest deal possible.

Don't be discouraged. We'll ride ANYWHERE. I really like seeing us all together like a parade and I know with stoplights that will be difficult. But what the hell---we're willing to try. Looking forward to the scout report. A great photo could be up the Marin Headlands overlooking Golden Gate Bridge...all lined up heading downhill....Someone would have to position themselves higher up to shoot but it may be possible...illegal, but possible if done quickly. Looks like now we have some momentum going for the Marin backroads.... Let's decide this in a democratic way. I just set up a poll. Please cast your vote and we can see what people really want.
