yeah, a "sunset" style cruise would be great. I don't think we've ever done it that way, plus the sunset pics will look fantastic.
I suggest ending the drive in SF along the Great Highway. For those who are unfamiliar, this is the strip of HWY 1 that runs through SF right along Ocean Beach. There is a huge parking lot w/ lots of space and it lines the beach front looking out into the pacific (its all along the West End of Golden Gate Park, where the windmill is). If we return from Marin, via the Golden Gate Bridge, and drive through the Presidio, this is where we'll end up. Beautiful strip of SF. Well, my description/mapping may be off, so any SF natives want to chime in, please do!

well if we start at 10am, we'll definitely have time to add that on. Trying to hit all those targets and make the GG bridge at sunset would take an act of god though. As it is, we'll have to plan rallying points into our battle plan so we can regroup before the photo op spots (in particular to get us all lined up for lombard).

there's a large parking lot on Front and Broadway (1.5 blocks of Embarcadero). Then we can head thru the broadway tunnel and go from there...
I'd vote for the Marin Headlands for the sunset strip rather that the beach, but that's my personal preference...

there is no way we can keep a group of 20+ cars together driving in city streets without hitting a red light.
this will definitely take some good planning.
