white-- last year, the area I'm in had 3.x quakes once or twice a day for about a week. 
it sucked being sick in bed with the flu, feeling the jolts and having to decide whether I felt too sick to go outside for my safety, or if I just wanted to chance it and stay in bed. made for some very un-restful flu recovery. 
re: buying insurance, these numerous small quakes are in no way a predictor of a big one coming.

......actually little quakes are good...it is relieving some of the stress off the fault lines. Sometimes big quakes are forwared by little quakes sometimes not....no clear evidence one way or the other....But little quakes do release pressure so the big one won't be a strong.....or that's the theory at least
)
