just to defend dublin honda a little i really doubt they made that up if it wasnt true because they could be sued in small claims court for a lot of money not to mention the car dealership association would shut them down for 2 weeks and fine them 100,000 dollars...not really worth the 500 bucks that it takes to replace the engine mounts...and for pricing issues i recommend that people stop asking multiple service people for prices...make friends with one guy...in dublin hondas case i recommend burke and stick with him...take his card, call him...if he isnt working dont go buy it from someone else at the dealership...show loyalty and they will do it in return...i do know that this stuff does happen, and if it really did you need to focus on the jack ass service guy who wanted to make an extra 50 bucks by charging you all this bogus extra money for bogus parts...Ken harvey could give a flying crap about 1000 bucks..he only owns and maintains 6 dealerships and drives a different maserati every week...for ken business isnt bad especially at his location in dublin...So I will defend him and his dealership but if you do take the time to look at the engine mounts yourself and find that there not cracked...believe me im sure the GM Jim Bailey would love to know about it because that service rep would be fired before you could get off the lot...The Juice just isnt worth the squeez if you know what I mean

Might be a stupid question, but are service reps based on commission or a quota?
If they are, then a whole dealership shouldnt be judged by the actions of one guy.
If not, why would they lie?
