my s2k won't start It turns on but won't starts, it make this click click click noise then stop and the dash light was blinking with it.

this was my first time having this problem.. i have no choice but to call roadside assistance and he used this portable box jump start cable.
the car starts but once i was driving 1 yard the car just cut off and stop. So he jump start the car again and the car starts..but the CEL came on?!
as soon as i got home, i just can't stop noticing the CEL is on....how do i get rid of it?

and do i need a new battery? car still won't start, please help. thanks!

Sounds like you do need a new battery. The one you got doesn't hold a charge anymore. The check engine light probably came on because of your battery not having enough power to turn the car on. I think of you replace the battery and have the code cleared, you won't have any more problems.

It could also mean that your alternator isn't charging your battery anymore too.

it might just be the alternator? If your battery is dead would it even be able to make the click click noise?

My bat is dead too (all that stereo poewr, huh?? rydelow??)
But really, ya'll recommend OEM replacement or what?

Curious how long the OP's optima lasted, and whether it mounted to the stock location easily.
