Wait, where's your secondary harness? Just want to make sure, since we all make silly mistakes. You do have that 3.5mm jack plugged into the radio via a second harness or directly, right?

Here is a photo of the DCI switch settings:

The connectors between the DCI and the harness are simple crimp style connections. I've doubled checked the connections and tested for continuity with the multimeter. Connections look good.

What secondary harness are you referring to? The 3.5mm jack is plugged into the back of the headunit marked "OE remote." I can't seem to figure out what is wrong with this thing.

Okay. Yeah, I didn't know what the back of your unit looked like. My JVC has the OE remote on a second harness that also plugs into the back.

One thing, have you tried the reverse positions of the switchs on the DCI? I think you're DCI is "flipped" so to speak. If I recall correctly, black arrow on DCI is "up" and corresponds to black arrow on instructions.

And one thing, I had to turn off wired mute as that doesn't work with the JVC units I've seen. Wired mute off = lowered volume only, no full mute. But that's a secondary issue.

Also to note, my DCI was different so I'm just doing guesswork. haha. I had a different revision with only four dip switches.

Just an update for anyone who was curious about what happened with the DCI unit. I was in constant communications with Bob from Modifry to determine what was wrong with the DCI unit. After unsuccessful tests, I shipped the unit back to Bob and he determined it was faulty. He promptly sent me a new unit which he personally tested. I finished installation and the unit works like a charm! Just like it was supposed to. Feels great to have my dash controls back
