Corrected. The housings are wear items, at least the tail light housings since they do tend to develop leaks over time. Of course it depends on your definition of wear and tear.

 

If you open up your sealed headlights you're doing so at your own risk... so I don't feel sorry for the scion owner...


As for the OP, I know a lot of guys down here actually use led rings instead of halo kits. They look fine (if you're into that) and obviously have low power requirements/etc/blahblahblah.


I'm personally not a fan of bmw halos on a honda. i would recommend considering led's if you do anything at all.

 

Kinda in line with taking Audi's LED strips and putting in on a Honda?

 

i believe he bought the headlight and it started to fog up... then had a shop open it, dry it up and resealed it...

my friend actually bought the 6thgen accord headlights... one halo burnt out and the other changed colors... and of course condensation happened.

generally, after market headlights produce/project less light then the OEMs... unless your doing a custom projector retrofit install like the TL projector into a Mazda 3 hatch (i did this install). the s2000 headlights are one of the brightests i've seen which is why they are still pretty expensive compared to many other headlights.

Ah, I can see why he'd be frustrated buying something that was meant to be sealed, only to reseal and still have an issue

 

I had the same question earlier today. Saw the banner ad for them and thought they looked pretty good. Especially the ones with the black housing. Anyway, I searched around and though it looks cool, majority of the replies weren't excited about the idea.

I searched for the same lights on eBay, you can save about $100 getting it off eBay.
