if u fight it, they will deduct it...you go to court to talk to another judge and then they will deduct it...as far as my experience from what my friends have gone through.

also, i think if you go over 90 or 100 (forgot which) it would be considered manslaughter...u crazy guy...hahah..
manslaughter?

Maybe reckless driving, but manslaughter.

I got a ticket for 90 on 101 once in my old Integra Special LS many years ago (it wasn't intentional), but I don't remember exactly how much I had to pay. It was around $300 at least.

my friend actually got pulled driving at 105 or so, i think he is going to court in january, from what i hear it's a huge fine+license suspension+maybe something else.
i think he was lucky because he wasn't jailed nor was his car impounded.

if you go over the speed limit by X amount, you disqualify yourself from traffic school. i think it was either 25mph or 30mph over the limit. might be something worth looking into.

you just have to pay the fine and take the hit. happened to me a few years back. $479 sounds about right.

I was not eligible for traffic school since it was my second offense within 18 months. In addition to the $100 reduction in fees, the judge granted me traffic school

It all really depends on the judge though. If the trial by written declaration doesn't work out for you, you can request a trial de novo and plead your case in court. Sometimes it's better to just plead guilty and ask for reduction in fees. Although it all depends on the judge.

Mine was $380 for 130mph on S101 in San Mateo county. Did you go in person to get the fine reduced?

edit: 2 pts on record + 30 day license suspension.

It's been uhhh 6 years now, and it's still on record.
