^ she brings up an excellent point... sorry rey, but fine reduction looks like a better option than trying to fight it. do you get points on your record for that?

I got the carpool ticket, and honestly was in a complete daze while driving so told the judge just that. I honestly didn't realize I was in the lane was my excuse.

And my fee was reduced from the $380~ down to $114.

No points.

Only thing that sucked was going to the Richmond ghetto courthouse.

People make mistakes, judges judge. I agree that your excuse sucks, and I would just go with the truth that you made a mistake at the toll booth.

damn rey that sucks. Get the ticket reduced man that's the best choice from your choices.

A friend of mine had a carpool lane ticket and it cost here well over $600 bucks... Hopefully you won't be paying anything near that.

yeah you shoulda said you have fastrak and forgot your transponder... was this on carquinex bridge? i think all open lanes including carpool is fastrak lane.

Thanks again, yeh my excuse suck.(I dont lie much)

Yeh this was the vallejo brigde. I will prolly just tell the judge it was a mistake and im willing to pay the fine if you can reduce it and so forth.

I cant say i have fasttrack since i really dont have one.


I havnt found out the fine, just got it yesterday.

I always use the Fastrac excuse...but you have to have fastrac in order for it to work

solo in the carpool is not a moving violation. your ticket that follows in the mail might have the option to go to traffic school but dont choose that option either. been there done that. go to court and try to get the fine lowered. good luck!
