Probably the safer way to keep the wing secure is to remove it while you're away. It's still a huge magnet for potential thieves!

an s2k is going to attract attention, regardless, esp a yellow one. the top fuel looking wing def exacerbates things, but another safety measure against theft would be replace some of the exterior fasteners to Torx or security bolts.

Should have made it from the llama wool
Agree.
Next time!
Someone with a track wing should buy my wool and make their own.

They had so many possibilities at Anna's linens. My original goal was to match the OEM car cover, but I couldn't stand the mis-matched colors, so I went for a little contrast.

Seriously though, the attention this wing attracts is worthy of a youtube video. I did not expect the celebrity treatment, but it's wild. Rubber-neckers, haters, appreciators, all are drawn in.
obviously you just need to put some gopros on it or near it... maybe outside the wing stands... to capture the attention and make said video.
This is exactly my plan. Create a youtube compilation of clips of people's reactions. The go-pro alone got reactions before I had the wing. I need to get a yellow skin for the Go-pro hero 3 to make it stand out more.

Its less to hide it, and more just to protect it from the elements. The car port I park in tends to get some drafts which bring in dust. And of course, with the large ironing board, all the dust and dead bugs like to rest right on the wing span.

I dont trust myself removing the wing over and over. I like the design of some of the other track wings which leave the base of the stands in tact. This wing requires removal of the entire stand/base, which would end up butchering my plasti-dip coat.

I've definitely looked into some replacement bolts which would be keyed in some way.

Removing the wing would be a bitch... I'm with you on that. My theory is if it gets stolen I will probably pick up a better wing the next time around and only mount it for the track. I'm hoping for better luck than that though and not having my car f'd with.
