Those guys are jerks. I went there 6 years ago when the going rate was $120 (about double what most places charged). They did not give me an estimate. When they finished, the tech refused to discuss the results with me -- whether the camber was maxed out or not. Then they gave me a bill for $170. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that the price had gone up. When I asked why, they told me "you guys who want precise alignment numbers are taking up more of our technicians' time". Of course, I had been there while they were working and it took about an hour -- including a long period when they weren't doing anything because their computer had conked out.

Find another shop. I like Motorsport Techniques on Winton Ave. in Hayward. You should also consider Edge Motorwerks in Hayward...Anthony who works there drives an S2000. Or Speed Inn in Hayward.

Warm Springs Chiropractic in Fremont.

Tell them Kristine sent you

They do massage and then they do the adjustments after. Better than most places that just put you on the electricity therapy and then use the little hand tool to adjust "pop" a few kinks out of your back.

Oh ok, no need for a massage though, just a custom alignment...

yeah Randy, go to Motorsport Techniques or Speed Inn.... tell Les or David i sent you and if you have SCCA membership, they give you discount... speed inn that is. I think Speed Inn's standard price is $120

i get my alignment from a friend, Fairgrounds Auto in San Jose... i dunno how much they charge regularly (obviously i dont pay regular price) but they're pretty cheap and they use Hunter rack. They can also do custom if you bring your settings.

and yeah, if you need corner balancing, let me know!

good luck!
Thanks Ken, yeah ill let you know when I feel I can install a set of coils properly...haha

I used to use Custom Alignment back in the days when it was still around $90 for an alignment. Since the price has gone up, I haven't been there in a while. I don't even think Joe works there anymore also. Big for the prices @ Custom Alignment.

I try out diffrent alignment each time I head to the track and the alignment I get at Auto-Innovations works for me and the lap times speaks for itself.

My car has never been corner balanced but its because i make so much adjustments to my suspension, especially pre-load.

Not a big deal, but thought I would call around before I pulled the trigger
