Default Cupertino, CA...Maybe visiting !!

Hi,

Don't know if this is the right forum, but I may be heading out to Cupertino, CA for training. How far is it from San Jose? Any recommendation for visitors to do? Any nice hotels around that area?

Here is the address, so if a hotel is near by please let me know:

10435 N Tantau Ave
Cupertino, CA 95014-0709

Thanks,

Hey there,

Cupertino's directly adjacent to San Jose. About 5-15 minutes driving depending on what parts you're going to and headed from. I live in San Jose and have always found the area somewhat boring, so maybe others have better suggestions for what to do.

Have fun =)

San Jose is a sprawling Suburb, but it does have somewhat of a downtown with a few bars and clubs. Not sure what nights you will be in town, but try checking http://www.metroactive.com before you come for things that are happening in the area, or pick up a copy of the free weekly Metro when you come into town. If you are here long enough, you can always try going up to Palo Alto's University Ave, or heading all the way into San Francisco. Post details and maybe some more folks will have some input for you.

BTW, the S2000 community in the South Bay is pretty active, so if you have the time, let us know and maybe we can get a gathering together for drinks or dinner one night and you can meet up with some fellow S2000 owners!

San Francisco is only about 45-50 minutes away from cupertino via I-280. If you are really up for it, I think a few S2000 folks might be willing to make a drive (while giving you a ride up) up for a few drinks... Otherwise, San Jose, Mountain View, or Palo Alto will be your better bets for a place to grab food and drink and hang out a bit.
