No way I can do 107-108 in 4th gear without bouncing off the limiter.
Shifting 500 rpm early isn't really going to do much to keep your oil temperature down I wouldn't think but could definitely cost you a bit if you end up out of VTEC in certain places.

Not sure what 500 rpm would do to the motor heat wise but I'm sure it'll add to the heat.

I know were talking marginal differences here but I cant bring myself to just sit at the rev limiter lap after lap. Ive grenaded 4 motors growing up racing motocross (completely different I know) so I guess it sits in the back of my mind a little more. Ill have an oil cooler on the car before the first round in Feb and then Ill have more peace of mind. Also, in the back of my mind I know its easy time to shave if Im absolutely going for a single flyer

I think I can maybe do 101-102 sitting at the rev limiter. Just curious what oil are you using, Mac?

So I just checked and my tune was stock equivalent and I was able to verify what was slot was uploaded last and it was the second slot which is where I put my stock tune or stock equivalent. Doesn't explain my rev limit because it definitely seems higher.

Strange. This is why I have been holding off with my FlashPro so far. I don't trust Hondata's "stock" if I want to go back.
