Cracked my plastic window
Sigh.. its so painful seeing my S like this. Antenna-less, missing honda emblems, and now I cracked the plastic window. I lowered the top down late afternoon, it couldn't have been colder than 60 degrees for sure. I heard a crack and instantly I knew what happened. I just smashed my head on the steering wheel (while crying on the inside).
Ok.. and to the point. I am a broke ass college student, rain is coming soon, and I don't want to ask my parents to help fix the window. Does anyone know if I have a chance to get a "goodwill" repair down from the dealership. (Bought the S from private owner, but our family has bought a car there 2 years ago.) Anyone have any experience with this?
If this doesn't work out, anyone know off a place that can patch it up for cheap? Anyone have hook ups? Thanks.
PS. Those with plastic windows, pay attention to the temperature. It doesn't need to be very cold to break it.

I used clear packing tape on both sides about 2 months ago. I've had the top up and down 50+ times, it's been through rain, etc... I'm going to wait until the top needs to be replaced and do the whole thing at the same time.
Go get some packing tape.

Same thing happened to me... About a 12 inch crack horizontally towards the bottom and a 4-6 inch vertical crack near the top. (Happened at the same time)

I was worried that I won't be able to put that top down with tape. I'll just go with the packaging tape until the window gets really bad. People can't see the tape if you put the top down anyway. I think I will wait until next year for a glass conversion. This place in SJ is charging $1600 installed.
