Thumbs down Crackdown at Starbucks

Similar to the Riverside car meet raid, police have pretty much shut down the Sunday car meets at the Elcamino/Lawrence Starbucks in Sunnyvale. I drive by the area every weekend, and tonight (I was getting gas) I saw at LEAST 30 police units, including bikes, CHP, SUVs, and K-9 vehicles.

The police have usually been monitoring the meets every Sunday, but apparently someone ruined it for everyone by attempting to outrun the cops in his modded car (some Sunday ago).

I don't want this to turn into a "Why police do/don't suck" flame war; I'm just informing you guys just in case you have friends who go to that meet every Sunday. It looks as though they will be strictly enforcing that area, and the last thing anyone really wants is a fix it citation.

They cracked-down last week also, and I just passed by again just coming from work and they are cracking down again. It's a good thing my license plates came in last week.

Well I'm sure those regulars that attend the Sunday meet will find another Starbucks down the road or another joint somewhere else.

There will always be one person in the group that ruins it all.

Someone always has to ruin it for everybody else. We use to do the RC Car scene there, 'till someone ruined it for everyone else by not cleaning up after the events.
