Default convertible top help

Hey all

Yesterday I had Vargas Upholstery change my 01' top to a new one with the glass window conversion. However, today I was inspecting more and it looks a little strange. Check out these pics. It seems like they missed a few rivets or something? Like they didn't pull a couple areas tight enough. I don't think it should have those waves in the material by the base of the side? I'm I right? or does this look ok?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd take it back to whoever did it. It shouldn't be like that. I don't know if it will do any harm, per se... but it should be nice and smooth

It's not right. I installed my own soft top and I can tell you those corners are one of the more difficult parts to pull tight and secure properly. The installer probably considered it "good enough" once the main portions were secured. It won't damage anything, and won't leak the way it is, but it should be fixed so it looks right. The installer will have an easier time fixing this after the top has sat in the sun (closed) for a while to heat up and stretch the fabric.

Yes on El Camino

I talked to Ron today he said that was the way these tops were made-said they installed it to the instructions. I'm a bit frustrated to be honest. Don't know whether to have them finish the job or to take to somebody else.

just wanted to add that this is a Robbins top. I saw one install on the forum where somebody's top also had the same wavyness. Maybe it's this top?

It should be possible to fix. They just need to do some small adjustments. I got a EZ On top and thought that maybe I should of gotten the Robbins, but it seems like they have the same problem.
