yea it's the EXACT same hose in those pictures that kristine posted up!
i'm assuming there's supposed to be some attachment to that hose so it can stay on my CAI? otherwise, the hose just falls right off since it's smaller in size compared to the intake =/

I HATE RAIN

i think i'm missing a piece that goes from the hose to the intake... because on mine, it's literally just the hose

umm... the hose should be attached at each end with hose clamps. Your photo shows that you do have a hose clamp at the end where its coming loose... get some pliers, push the clamps together, slide the hose onto the nipple and let go of the clamp.

^ i thank you for trying, but you didn't read close enough.

i do know what the issue is now though since i drove all around sunnyvale looking for it. i'm missing the rubber piece to my intake that is supposed to attach to the hose. if you can see in the picture, it's on the other side where the brass 90degree angle is.

anyone know where i can get the rubber piece? is there anywhere that sells those rubber pieces?

needed for the engine to run? = NO, needed for emissions? = yes

that hose is connected to the intake to get air into the secondary air injection pump (below the headlight behind the bumper) the pump pumps air into the exhaust to help heat up the catalytic converter at cold start to lower emiisions.

so if not connected to the intake it still works but prolly not enough air so the pump throws a code for injection pump malfunction.

otherwise, it's not gonna affect on how the engine runs.... btw that pump is about 4lbs, i remove mine for weight savings

lol i kinda want to keep that 4lbs for decreasing the chances of hydroplaning on thin thin water! =D

according to AEM, it's not their 'fault' and they said i need a new oem air pump hose...
