Default clear corner and side markers

Hi Everyone,

hope everyone had a good start for 2009,

just wondering if it's legal to have clear/smoked side markers as long as they blink amber when lit ?

since CR has clear side markers , i assume it's legal, but does the law state otherwise?

Also, thinking about going smoked, with chrome bulbs, does anyone have first hand experience on those? are them dimmer by a significant amount?

Thanks!

To clarify for all (I've been cited before):

Sidemarkers: CLEAR LENS--OK
AMBER LIGHT--OK (if you have a silver bulb that blinks yellow, ok too)
CLEAR LIGHT--NO GOOD

Front turn signals: CLEAR REFLECTOR: NO GOOD, even if bulb blinks yellow. The vehicle code clearly states that you need to have a yellow reflector in place. (Functionally, I've had a sliver bulb that blinks and lights up yellow. Unless you have a really anal cop, you CAN get away with it....YMMV.)

I've had clear blinkers, and bluish sides since I got the car (cleared my headlights within three weeks) and have never had issues..

Thanks all! i think i will probably do it later as the cops in my area are considered pretty anal ( the type that camps in residential area for people that doesnt fully stop at stop signs).

last thing i want is to get pulled over for lights! but i will eventually do it in the future i think!

Search button is your friend. Theres a post says side markers must blink amber or white light. If a cop hassles you tell him to look it up
