It absolutely was. High quality windshield that was just recently installed, and Baron watched it crack right when I pulled it off. The Qstarz is definitely lighter than a GoPro, I used it in the exact same way mounted all day at Laguna in cool weather with no issues. I definitely plan to be extremely careful from now on with this type of thing when it is that hot though.

You guys are fast...certainly a lot better than me with my sloppy shifting technique, as you'll see with my videos when I post them up.

Nice run! Your lines are just amazing to watch, attacking those corners with precision and speed.

Glad you were able to get the tire patched up...hopefully the glass will be fixed soon as well. Nice photos by Bill, he got some sick shots of everyone's car!

Alright, here's the link to my set of photos from the event: http://s1060.photobucket.com/user/GP...%20Thunderhill

Some select photos:

- thanks to Bill Wang for the action shot of my car

Finally, just a small sample from the collection of videos I recorded. Just the fails I performed on the track that day

Looked like you came out of it just fine though.

It was fun chasing you! All I was thinking after the spin is if the s2k behind recording it?! haha
That's why I always go over bypass carefully.....don't know how the fast guys can take it so fast and so stable

Here is my fastest time of the day a 2:12.058. A pretty clean but conservative lap, but now I have a much better idea where I can make up more time. After that some fun chasing down some other S2000s (nos4you and boyguan) and some shenanigans that occurred throughout the day. NS2000 you can see what I caught of your spin on turn 5 towards the end.

Can't wait to get back to Thunderhill and go for that sub 2:10!

Thanks for the pics and the kind words guys! I still have so much to learn.

Love the shot of me coming down T5, look at how compressed everything is. Car is hella flush. LOL.

Glad you weren't competing, Andrie. I would've been bumped off the podium.

My best time of the day, a 2:14.30. Not bad for a 105 degree day, I guess. Yes, I already know I downshift too late into the turns, its part of the learning experience. I will rectify that in my future track events
