Default Cindy told me "I want to see the SUN"

I went downtown to have lunch with Cindy on Thurs. and she told me "I want to see the Sun". She said she took Fri., Mon. and Tue. off for her birthday, so go find me some Sun shine. So I went home and the best place I could find within one days drive was Phoenix. We spent one day in Vegas(Friday) and then headed over to Hoover Dam to check it out. The drive over to Phoenix was fun because Cindy drove(85 to 95 most of the time) she hit 120+ once to catch a car to see what it was(old Ford '32 I think) but I have to say those long straight roads are boring in the "S".

Here are the pic's we took(they loaded back wards so if you start the slide-show, do it in reverse order)

We spent two days in Phoenix and drove home to Sacramento in one day(785 miles) The best gas mileage we got was 28.7 the worst was 26.7 mpg(that was when Cindy was driving). 785 miles(4 stops,2 for gas, 1 for food and 1 for a cup of coffee) in one day was not to bad except for my legs, got a couple of cramps in my right leg because I can't move it much.

Enjoy,
ROD

Very nice, looks like it was a fun trip.

I'm a bit confused about the picture with the keyboard on the bed. Was it a media PC in the hotel room?

Yes it was(I think), I could get the Internet, movies, radio and other stuff or I could look at normal TV. This room was in Vegas.

I don't think I would go to Phoenix after April, gets very hot 105+ and the low temperatures can be in the mid 80's at 6am in the morning.
Flagstaff AZ is also a good place to visit in the spring. We would have gone there if it was April or May. If it's 115 in Phoenix it can be 95 to 100 in Flagstaff and it cools down at night.

Cool, thanks, I've never seen that in a hotel before.
