Sunday, going on 237W near Lawrence Ave. exit, a CHP patrol car was parked on the center divide with its radar gun clocking cars in the fast lane. I changed lanes and the car behind me got nabbed. A very scary feeling.

Last week Saturday, on 880S near Fremont Ave. exit, a CHP motorcycle officer was parked on the center divide with his hand-held radar gun clocking cars in the fast lane. Fortunately I was going N at the time.

Both of these are very visible, the officers want to be seen and noticed. With the holidays coming up, be careful out there, especially with the speed. Don't want anyone to get a ticket going to or coming from a holiday party. Others may also notice the notable increase in the presence of the CHP on the road, post if you see them out there.

How effective is the V1 in the twisties (35, 9, 84, etc.)? Thinking of investing in one after getting my first ticket in the S..

V1 frequently picks up the cops trying to nail other people around corners. It's very sensitive and has saved my ass countless times. One problem - it can pick things up quite far away, so if they're using instant on you may think you are out of danger a mile or so before you really are.

Can they nab you and clock your speed if they are coming towards you and moving? Hope that sentence made sense...

A friend got nabbed for speeding in a different state (forget which one). He was coming around a 35 mph curve at like 48 and a cop going the opposite direction nabbed him and was even able to clock the speed. I didn't know they could do that. Any insight?
