getting it home shouldn't be a problem if you install on the spot. it's really easy. i bought an oem hardtop in las vegas when i was living in los angeles. i installed it in the dealer parking lot, hung out in vegas, then drove home.

He actually offered to help me install using my soft top catchers but I was interested in picking up his front bumper too, and I know there's no way I could make that fit. Lol but i'm still trying to figure a way to make it all work out, I'll keep you guys updated. ^_^

Why dont you just rent a van/truck? It shouldnt be more than $80 to $100.

He offered you to help install? Wow, he said he couldn't help me install lol. CREAMMM are you the next buyer? I am interested in his seats but geez that drive is so long!

As for renting a truck, my reason are I want to test fit it onto my car VIS or not. That's a huge investment without foolhardy that. Besides renting and the cost of gas for a truck would cost me $200

If you count the travel time, gas and hassle, it is not such a good deal. Gas for truck is at least will be $200 for the round trip. Truck rental about $100. If you own your own truck you have to figure wear and tear, about $100. Not to mention your whole day wasted. That alone worth more than $300 to me. All that already add up to $600. You can find a couple in SF area selling for around $1600. Not to mention it is damaged. So, no, it is not such a good deal IMHO

I've considered renting a truck/van but I wanted to test fit the top first before I purchased it. And I guess so you can say i'm next in line for the top but i'm primarily interested in the front bumper. But if anyone else is interested i'll step down and just just get the bumper.

He said he's willing to deliver the parts to the bay this weekend if we help with gas, so maybe we can ask about the seats for you too and knock out 3 birds with one stone. ^_^ let me know what you guys want to do so I can talk to him about pricing and such.

that looks like stress cracks... not scratches.... chances are they are cracked through the weaves... if u are lucky, and its only clear coat crack, it still fixable but as soon as it get to the weaves... its pretty much game over.... but it still repairable for those who wish to get this painted after some fiberglass fixing..

Good points Andrie it's easy for people to forget the actual out the door cost when a cheap initial price comes along. I'm constantly adding il the cost of time and commute when buying parts and it really adds up over time.
