pics appear pretty blurry for me, but i'm assuming it was handheld in 0 lighting?
as far as the actual caves go, that's awesome. the gf and i went to pinnacles a while ago for a hike and they had like..1 cave there, but it was awesome..and she saw a bat.
curious to see where this one is and just how big the cave is?

Yes, Pinnacles National Monument is a great place for hiking. It's a volcano that erupted about 195 miles south of its present location, near Soledad and King City off of Hwy 146 East. It has sinced traveled northward along the San Andreas Fault, and it's still moving at a rate of about 2-3 centimeters per year. It has a couple of caves there to explore, Bear Gulch and Balconies.

haha, that's blurry for lantern light being held by people? thanks jeff, I'll use my strobe more next time
but yeah, hand held in complete darkness.
The caves are in Tennessee, so it'll be a bit of drive for those who want to go check it out. They're huge though, and there's tons of them. I would have preferred having more climbing gear, and older clothes to climb in and really explore more... maybe next time

thanks. well when I can get my computers working again I'll take a look at them again on my larger screen. My (now dead) laptop screen isn't good for photo editing.
