Damn David, and we were just talking about that two weeks ago too, cop never bother me though, tough luck man, sorry to hear that.
BTW, I have a question regarding getting fixer ticket sign off, do cop check for vin number when they sign it off or they just look for what u need to put back in and sign it? The reason I ask for this is because my cousin got a fixer ticket for no front plate and windows tinted too dark, and he wanted use my ap2 to put his plate on and mine are not tinted. The thing is his is an ap1 and mine is ap2, you guys or girls think this would work?
Thanks! David

You can contest the ticket... a buddy of mine has some piece o' sh*t aftermarket muffler that is hella loud on his VW Jetta. He contested the ticket and told the judge that the sound is still within the allowable decibel rating, and how would the officer know what the level was unless he had the proper equiptment to measure it. The judge threw the case out. I know that it's kind of a hastle but if you're not louder than some of those bikes out there then it's your right!

I wonder if there is some kind of paperwork that you can carry with you as proof of how loud the exhaust really is. If the cop says your exhaust is too loud, it would be nice to have something to backup your claim that it's within legal db limits.
As for carb legal intakes... I don't see how you can get a ticket for that. Especially if you have the appropriate stickers and such?

If the cop pulls you over within that year and tries to cite you, you show him the cert.
