So what are you going to do to make sure this doesn't happen again? Do you honestly think this was a random "hater"?
Not sure police called said there have been a couple of these vandalism's in the last few months. def wont be parking the S there at night anymore and in 3 weeks they get cameras all over the parking lots....and a gun.

yea man, i was thinking about going to grad school at cal state eastbay and thought my car would get jacked up in the parking lot. I was thinking of just selling the S and getting a regular man's car to save the hassle and the headache of always worrying about it

Maybe if you park by the Math and Science building you will not have as many problems, since mostly just nerds will be walking by your car. That seems to have worked for me. It just so happens I was taking mostly math and science classes. Still, it's best to take a different car.

Damn, I don't understand what it is with the Bay Area. When I lived in Brooklyn, NY never saw much vandalism. Sure people would have their cars stolen but that seems much more purposeful than just vandalism.

When I first moved here, borrowed my buddy's Sentra and parked it near at&t Park. Bunch of nice new luxury condos there. My friends parked their new 3 series convertible and A5 there with no issues. My first weekend with the Sentra, all four tires were slashed.

And now whenever I'm in the Mission Bay area, I do notice a lot of broken glass. Another friend of mine was in town for the week, rented a car and also had his windows smashed.

A few weeks ago, I borrowed my friend's Sentra again, parked it outside my house in Mountain View near Castro Street. Some %*@) hit it and ran. No note, nothing.

Thinking about picking up an 07 GPW, but after taxes/title/registration and shipping it out here, it's going to be about $26k. Worried about people slashing the roof, stealing the seats etc.

Hopefully in Mountain View I won't face too much trouble, but that one hit & run incident has me worried.

You'll see broken glass all over SF. It's mainly junkies doing smash and grabs.
