Car seats stolen in Sunset
This morning I come out to my '05 S2000 to see a giant hole on the soft top and my seats and shift knob gone. All the rails/brackets gone too. Nothing else was taken.
I called a couple dealers to get quotes for seats and soft top. Colma dealership quoted 8-9k and Anderson Honda quoted 8400 for parts alone. Anyone have any ideas where they could be cheaper? Otherwise I will be reporting to my insurance.
I am surely not the only one to have had their seats stolen before. Please help!

If you want it done RIGHT, just file an insurance claim.
My car took 1 month to put back together. No one seems to know how to put factory seats together. My shop had to go to Honda like 6 times because they didn't give all the right parts. Since they all come from Japan it takes time too. (Well not all parts come from Japan), but this stuff isn't in the standard Honda regional warehouses. It was coming from all over the US. They kept forgetting parts, sending wrong parts, etc...
Thank goodness I had loaner coverage for 1 month. Since the S was my only car. I got REAL used to driving a PT cruiser....
I don't think 05's have underseat sensors? but if they do, you'll need those too. Parts cost roughly 9k.

Thanks for the insight fellas.
I'll probably search for some used OEM seats, but most likely just report to my insurance company and see what happens with my premiums.

hmm, i dont know what there exactly going to do if youfile a report to insurance saying that your seats got stolen but i had a friend that got his car stolen, they recoverd the car with all the seats stolen and the airbags. insurance just totaled his car, gave him the value of his car and he just bought it back for cheaper and he had money left over to buy seats and then some
