Hey everyone,

Got into a discussion about car names with the gentlemen at my office and wanted to see who else names their cars and why?

I don't hear people giving their cars name too often anymore but when I was a kid lots of car enthusiasts did it. I think we, as a group, are as enthusiastic as they come.

I still give names:

Lucy was my first car, 92 Honda Accord EX, Coupe - the red reminded me of the lipstick on that old show I Love Lucy

I had a 91 Corolla I named Tommy the Toyota & an 03 Element named Ernie the Element. When I had a pair of S2Ks, I used the Mario & Luigi theme but I still dont have a set name for the S2K other than Stookie which everyone uses.

Not sure what to name the Lotus yet

lets see, my very first car i called her stacy. why? because she is white. my bmw which took care of me the longest, i named her vina. as for my first s2000 i dont have any. but search here at the boards you might be able to find him. RAMBO. LOL. as for my other silverstone, i named her ayame. until i sold it. whats next? idk yet. LOL

No names for either car I've owned. I called my Eclipse "the eclipse", and I call my S "the s".

My rx-7 was named Rusty and my old Subaru wagon was Pokey.
