Okay so maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the exhaust on the car is louder and or more throaty when it rains. Anyone else experience this? I know alot of people don't drive their car in the rain so maybe no one notices. This is stock exhaust stock, stock intake… Maybe it’s the rain bringing a heightened sense or awareness.

The road noise will be increased a lot while driving in the rain, but having done plenty of rain driving in my S2000 (hours an hours worth) the amount of noise coming from the engine/exhaust doesn't change from what I can tell. And I do plenty of driving in the rain with the engine at full song. The increased tire noise from the rain may be combining with the engine noise and making it sound louder though?

Measure it. I typically find most cars quieter in the rain. After about 70K on the S I cannot tell a real difference between wet and dry. Be it the wipers might add to something.

I notice it as well, not road noise but actual exhaust tone. Could it be from the wet top? maybe it echoes inside differently

I definitely notice the exhaust noise being prettier (louder) when it's cooler outside... and usually it's cooler when it's raining. But just based on rain itself, I don't notice a difference really.

maybe cause the sound waves actually take some effect with the water, compared to objects and the road?

i do know one thing, a hardtop makes everything quieter haha

Maybe that's what it is, just cooler air changing the tune a bit? Might be a good question for Jei I'll ask him next time I see him assuming I remember lol

I was thinking it might be the colder air in general. I guess I'll go with some combination of colder air and increased awareness to my surroundings due to the rain. Either way I love how it sounds. Now if only it would stop raining so I can clean her up.
