Dear sweet Cliff---grow up and really LISTEN to Ed and read between some lines here!!! Getting "lucky" just isn't going to happen because you buy us dinner. You're lucky because we've decided to give up some of our precious time on this earth to break bread with you. That's a privilege the way I figure it nowadays. Go and have a great evening and just appreciate what a gift she's already given you.

But of course lovely Ina......... There's no need to set me straight in that dept., rest assured.
I was merely patronizing Ed and his humor, that's all.

Besides...... Seriously, buying dinner in hopes of luck - Hmmmmm oh I don't know, I think that might be just a TAD too tacky for s2000 owners, wouldn't you say?

OK I am now ready to check on in with this thread..thanks for the intro Ed....and John you are pretty right on...
I found Blue Agave a bit pricey but interesting in that it is not traditional "smashed beans and rice". I do like Strizzi's a lot, as well as Pasta's also on Main. there is a very unassuming Spanish place whose name escapes me on the same block. I have not tried Barone's or Stacey's, sorry.
Hap's......bring MONEY. I think Ruth's Chris and/or Harris' in the City are more worthwhile if you are gonna spend a fortune.
Girasole is a favorite but lacks the ambiance of Downtown as it is in a rather graceless strip center behind a gas station.
Outside of Blackhawk Cafe I have yet to eat anything worthwhile in that Plaza...nothing stays in business long enough anyway.
Prima in WC rocks for sure..just avoid Il Fornaio and you are pretty safe in that fine town. Nice strolling too.
Let me close with a plug for my dear Livermore...again $$$ are not low but you cannot beat the restaurant at Wente Sparkling Cellars for beautiful setting and inventive cuisine (maybe a little TOO precious?).
