It occurred at 10am sat morning, i think they were going to a meet or skyline. Without priming ur brakes they would fade like a biotch!

Good! I'm glad they caught at least 1 of them. I try calling stuff in but they never catch them.

If they were on normal street pads, a single hard brake at 150 mph won't be an issue, as street pads are meant to work at cold temps. Repeated high speed braking would be another issue however as that is when you would experience fade.
i understand what your saying, but i don't think you nor i have braked hard from 150 to 65 because you saw a chp car near you.

i honestly think the pads would glaze over because they are street pads and not meant to go from cold to beyond operating temperatures, it may even boil the brake fluid. i think brake pad and fluid has a different characteristic when at 150 mph, especially when braking hard to avoid a car that cuts into your lane at that speed. i wouldn't even want to test it out.

Brake pads don't care if you are braking to slow down for a cop or swearing while doing so. They still work exactly the same way regardless. I can definitely tell you that stock pads and stock fluid work fine doing a single 150 mph stop, at least in a S2000.

I always swear while braking, they work way better and it prevents them from glazing over.

Im too old for 'know it all arguements'. Ur experience sounds primarily with s2000s, or maybe you've never did bad things to rental cars, S2ks are lighter so takes less friction. I havent tracked the car, brakes arent too shabby. With the type r and evo i had boiled the oem fluid in the first session.

I remember being in my m3 sedan with a full load and braking hard from highway speeds, yes bmw's have great initial
bite, but the weight of the car plus people glazed the pads. S2ks seem more linear than more/less progressive like bmw's. I guess ur not understanding how i would brake when slowing down from 150, hot and heavy. That m3 probably weighs 3300lbs, and even more when u consider the moment um. If u want to be brake god, i wont protest but ur saying that braking performance is the same whether its cold or hot AT 150mph?

Im just confused and jealous that my ex bought a porsche yesterday. Can we argue about girl hotness in car brands? Itd be a more entertaining arguement.
