I'm curious about this too. If youre running stock pads on your way to the track, the compound would already be embedded into the rotors. So if you changed to track pads without changing rotors, wouldnt this be mixing in a different compound?

I was under the impression that it isnt a good practice to mix compounds on rotors.

Most guys either swap pads at home and drive to the track on track pads, or they do the swap rotor and pad thing. I prefer to swap rotors and pads.

i ran stock pads with motul 660 fluid, performed pretty awesome, was surprised how good it was
