The RE070 isn't that new. It was OE on the US STi Impreza when it first came out. Tire Rack has it classified as "Ultra High Performance", two categories down from the RE-01R in "Extreme Performance". I'm sure it's a better tire than the RE050 that comes on the standard S2000...

As for the RE-11, I am curious but it would be nice to see a translation of that page.

Lets see....

Will be release in Japan on 2008 March. (It may take a while to come to US.. we waited for ever for the RE01Rs.)

Has different shoulder profile on the inside (round) and outside (more square).

Thermal

RE11 distributes temperature more evenly across the tread then RE01r.

Others: Blocks that have been calculated (3D) to keep a consistent contact patch under cornering deformation.

On the track, the R11s are about 1+ seconds faster then the RE10Rs.

Another option for Street Class time attackers!

SojuSoulja: R1R still has a softer sidewall compared to the RE01R.

Thanks for the translation Rob, I figured that's what they were showing on the thermo pic's.

1+ Second faster is AWESOME.

Sorry, this article is in Japanese. Hope to see these in USA soon...

RE-11
That just means you should be translating it for us

Looks like a better tire design for cambered cars, since the main rain channels are situated more on the inside of the tire.
