Default Breaking up and starting over

Hi Guys. I don't post too often, and never about serious stuff, but I was hoping I could find some advice/suggestions/help form the forum here.

My g/f and I of 3 years are planning to end things between us shortly. We're currently living together and we are both going to be looking for our own place so we can try to start over. I will probably have to sell my S, and I'll be looking for a cheap, clean, and safe place in South San Jose.

Of course I'll be using Craigslist, rent.com, and apartments.com to try to find places, but that can often yield very unfavorable and/or shady results.

If anyone knows of a 1 bedroom place to rent for cheap (probably $800 or less) or knows of soom good additional sources to find good quality places, I'd be really grateful. In addition, if anyone has any suggestions for getting the max price out of my S ('02 Spa, Stock w/e extra set of wheels), I'd be happy to listen to any suggestions.

I don't know when this is all hapenning, but it will be soon.

Thanks for the help.

I have a friend renting a room in a gated townhome community in SJ. Pm me for details. $500 plus utilities. Tenant requirements: Professional, courteous, clean, and non "gangsta" wannabe.

try and check craigslist for people who need roommates that might be your best bet to cutting down costs of rent....just be selective of who ud want or would consider living with but its worth a try.

It's hard to get your own place for 800, must have a room mate.

I agree. A decent place will run you at least $1000. Anything under $1000 will be in the ghettos. But I could be wrong.

Sorry about your relationship, but I'm sure we "guys" know what you are going through.
