Default board beaR VALLEY

GOING TODAY IT WILL BE NY FIRST TRIP THIS SEASON. BEAR VALLLEY IS OFF HWY 4 NORTH OF YOSEMITE. I LIKE GOING THERE BECAUSE ITS CLOSE AND THE ROAD IS FAIRLY STRAIGHT. NOT MUCH PEOPLE OUT THERE. THE MOUNTAIN IS GOOD AND THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER SMALLER SNOWBOARD PARK BEFORE BEAR VALLEY" X-TERRAIN" . THE NIGHT LIFE IS LACKING THOUGH. BUT SMALL CROWD AND THE DISTANCE IS WHY WE GO THERE. ILL POST SOME PICS.

WHERE DO YOU GUYS GOING BOARDING AND SKIING

POST UP BEST PRICES OR PARKS STUFF LIKE THAT.

ALLRIGHT . TIME TO GET GOING

How's Bear Valley compared to the Tahoe resorts? Curious because Bear Valley is the one local place that I haven't been to. Interested in checking it out though.

I've been to Bear Valley twice and its not bad. The two times I went, all lifts were open and there is usually no line to get on the lift. Best thing about this resort is its about 3 hrs from SJ and lift tickets are much cheaper than Tahoe. And if you have kids, they have tubing there too for only $10.

JUST GOT back. cool weekend. but no fresh snow. Icy with a little fluff the mountain is at 7000 ft but all the storms that have come in are warm so they have only been getting rain. But the lift ticket is 48 bucks all day. you can get a room during the week that comes with a ticket. But the weekend your shit out of luck. our room was 100.00 night plus lift for two. thats about 200.00 a day. Got my own eqip. Lines were short and iam a beginner. couldn't remember shit from last year. had to do it all over again. . nice sunny weather. cool atmosphere. really chill area.

there are various runs though. the park is about 2/3 of mountain face. with all the usual runs

we also like cottage springs a small boarder park before bearvalley on hwy 4.
it has two runs. also tubing with lift. it has night also. no night time at bear. lots of local boarders doing tricks and stuff . And its cheap. at night the lift is only 20.00 bucks. .so when i arrive i'll board cottage at night and then bear the next day.
