over reving has nothing to do with that #4 cylinder
Yeah over reving didn't cause the #4 cylinder problem it was oil starvation. Over reving just simply pushed it over the edge.

Are you sure you don't have any more warranty? Drivetrain warranty is a lot longer than the standard 3 years.
Yeah the warrenty doesn't transfer over on a salvaged car.
