That's exactly why I decided to go boost. I barely made 204 with a J's header, Amuse R1000, & Mugen intake tuned with EMU. Now I'm at 511 WHP

We're still gathering up all the info, pics and vids for the Skunk2 header install and dyno. Completely stock, my car made 218whp 155wtq which was a big surprise to me since we have over two thousand S2k dyno files logged and this was the first OEM baseline we've seen reach this high. Maxrev called it a "Monday motor" it must have been!
The consensus at the moment is that without supporting mods, this header's capability is inconclusive. From looking at the graphs, you can see there is potential from 4k rpms to 7krpms. The first pull actually resulted in a loss of power. As we made consecutive passes, the power started to pick back up to the OEM baseline plot. We cleared the ECU and did a couple more pulls and matched our peak 218whp. The red -.- graph 219whp 162wtq represents cleared ECU with airbox lid removed. The other lines were the 3 OEM baselines.
I couldn't help but crack up when I saw this photo. That's how many people it took to install this header..really? NO but seriously this header, because of the equal length 4-2-1 design takes up space, requires a bit more labor. The removal of the OEM heatshield which protects the fuse box, a/c lines and heater hoses (common for the turbo guys). It also required removal of the passenger side engine mount bracket before hanging the header. The clearance from header to engine mount was close (about 1/4") but sufficient enough to prevent the header from hitting it when on the dyno and when I drove it home.
Coupled with a better flowing intake, test pipe, cat back and Fpro tuning (edit fuel, timing and locating proper vtec engagement), I'm confident we'll yield a nice curve in this rpm range. Now that I have a clean slate to work off of, I'll plan to fab our own proper diameter test pipe, cat back exhaust (like the black CR that was on the lift) and intake. I'll be sure to update you guys as I get the supporting mods on the car!
