I'm loving everything except the bugs.

Question, I'm going to Vietnam in February and I need to know if Ben Tre or Nha Trang is accessable by Bus/Train from Saigon?

Don
Hi Don. I would recommend you take the sleeping buses since it's a long trip. They go from Nha Trang and Saigon everyday. They were what we took on the way back. It was only $8 and you get a blanket and water. There is also a stop for lunch in between. A lot of foreigners took these.

I didn't eat the squirrels though. They don't have a lot of meat. Next time promise.

I personally stay away from the public buses. I'd rather either hire a private driver or take the overnight train.

Yep. Don't go on public buses. They have no AC and they'll cram you.

Sleeping bus:.

0_o I never knew there was a sleeping bus! I could only imagine waking up and all my belongings missing.

I'm going on a trip the includes all the hotels Hanoi/Saigon. However I'm trying to squeeze a day(or two) in to go visit my birth mother who I have not seen in 35years, she lives in Ben Tre (I was born in Nha Trang.)

Forgot to mention that the sleeping bus picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the hotel of your destination.

As for Ben Tre. It's about an hour away from Saigon. You might want to rent a private car for the whole day. It should be around $100.
