just let go of the wheel while tapping on gas a little for more traction.
You should never let go of the wheel and any school or experienced driver will tell you the same..
You should always know wich way your wheels are turning to not have to do this.
It's an extremely bad habbit to break once you start..

Sorry Ken..

think what happened was the often unheard of mysterious invisible crotch robbers syndrome.
Happened to me later on in the drive...
There I was flying into a left turn at a mere 80 mph, and then the crotch of my pants was grabbed by something that I could not see, I was holding onto my cohones with the grip of steel, and then.................
I was in the middle of a dukes of hazzard episode...
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

That's some funny shiot...
Balls get sucked up into no mans land..

I'm glad you were ok and really that's all that matters when it comes down to it.

Late braking doesn't seem likely because there would have been dirt in the
road from him pushing to the outside then cutting back accross.
I think it was from lifting and that's what brought the rear around.
That's my somewhat uneducated guess by looking at the skid marks.
(Lifting off the gas)

Thanks for the tip MAC, Pretty cool to know that a man can give that kind of up front advice to another man on this Forum....

Learning how to drive on a dirt road in Los Gatos hills and taking out a white
picket fence. I ran back to get my bumper that was torn off and through it in
the trunk while the owner was cursing at me. As I was jumping back in my
car I noticed four big dudes wearing football jerseys running to a Honda
CVCC getting ready to demolish there prey (me). My faithfull Scirocco was
luckily faster than the CVCC with four guys in it. I parked my car at a friends
house and walked home to Campbell. Somewhere during this my balls ended
up mia..
Of course I told my mom like a good little boy and built the owners a new
fence to match the old and painted the whole thing..
It took about a month for them to show up again..

Do you normally go into a turn that you have to brake for on the gas??
Usually you brake turn gas. assuming you are above the speed you would need to
get through the turn. It was a decent straight before this turn..
