The BIG SUCK - my top was slashed!

OK, so I parked my car in my bf's garage over the weekend while I was in Vegas. And whaddya know...monday morning I open the garage door to find my trunk open and my convertible top slashed. UGH!
The dumbest part is that they didn't take anything. Whoever it was broke into the garage and my car and tried to find something to take but because I don't keep anything valuable in my car...they were out of luck.
I'm insured...but it's just a pain in the arse to have to deal with this.

That does suck, and you are fortunate that nothing else bad happened... but it begs the question....how did whoever it was get into the garage? Normally that is the safest place to keep your car.

Sorry to hear that Janice. You have my condolences. What is up with our Bay Area cars getting tortured. You, me, ricer chick, DJ Qube, arghh! When does it stop.

That sucks - sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. A garage is usually the safest place to keep your car. But I guess anything can happen.
I have a close friend with a 2000 Integra Type R. He parks his car in the garage, has Lo-Jack installed, 3 Autolock Pros (one for each pedal), an Autolock device for the steering wheel, hood locks, and a Clifford alarm system w/ kill switch, etc. Add to that, there's always 2 cars parked on the driveway, and his bedroom is connected to the garage. I don't know how you can get any safer than that, besides standing in the garage all night with an AK47.
BTW - did the thief/thieves just break into the garage to look for valuables in your S2000? They didn't go into the house and try to steal everything?

In the Bay Area? Sorry to hear about your predicament. The thieves might just consider anyone living in the Bay area as very well off individuals and are targeting that area. Hope you recover soon.
