My friend works at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Pier 39. Their food is awsome and also got a nice view on Alcatraz too.

I second the Thanh Long/Crustacean recommedation. A whole "Roast Crab" and their Garlic Noodle is dreamy.

If you are adventurous enough, you can get Dungeness crab for $2.99 per lb at Ranch 99. You can make your own version of roast crab using a bunch of garlic, black pepper, onions, and olive oil.

also there is this great crab place on like Judah down near the beach across from the 7-11, in district 4 (19th ave). i'm blanking on the name, but it's EXCELLENT!!!

PJ's Oyster Bed on Irving near UCSF kicks ass and its not a tourist trap like most places in and around the Wharf.
