Doing a trip next week and wondering if you have any recommendations where to stay at for a night or two. Any towns on the way that's worth checking out? Thanks in advance.

I don't know what you mean by "the best" place to stay but Wawona is the best place to stay right inside of Yosemite's Valley floor in terms of nice hotel like comforts and amenities. I don't think reservations for next week will be very plausible though since it's a big popular hotel there. Or, if by "best" you mean enjoying nature's best then it's camping comforts. Almost all of their campsites requires advance reservations, but there are also some non-reservation campsite available as well if you don't mind taking your chances and are adventurous.

If you can't find anything inside Yosemite itself, you can check out the other nearby areas of scenic attractions such Pinecrest Lake and Stanisalus National Forest. It's about 2 hours outside of Yosemite and it's absolutely beautiful. It's a huge lake that you can go sailing or boating on and there's a trail that you can hike all the way around it.

Hope this helps.
