the first oil change is supposed to be 5k. thereafter is supposed to be 3k. but the manual says 7 i think. either way. i change mine at 2-3k and im running synthetic. for me its a piece of mind. some people say i shouldnt even change it so often.

Not me bro

I broke my shit in hard

I changed after 500 miles, then every 2,500 miles due to low milage on engine. I based my oil changes on time, as in every 6-9 months in 3 years and five months of ownership. I now have 23k miles on the S.

Bit off topic but my car has about 1400 miles on it, should I just get an oil change now? or wait til 3k?
You actually have a maintenance minder on your 07. If you push the trip button you will see it. I use that as my gauge as it doesn't seem to just go off of mileage. It takes into account your driving habits. i.e. how high you rev, if you vtec, stop and go, etc.

I have an 06 and that's what I use. Just a thought.

i also noticed that the maintenance minder lengthens the time you have with the oil if you put synthetic in. its been forever since my last oil change...

I don't think the ecu can tell if synthetic is in your motor.
