Try Esurance.com. I saved about $400 a year on my 2 cars. Can't comment on their customer service since I haven't make any claims yet.

The California Department of Insurance website has a lot of great info. Unlike other sites, this one is totally objective! While surfing there, I found a great auto insurance price comparison calculator.

It is extremely useful and includes most of the auto insurance companies that insure in CA. You can quickly check the relative rates for your specific area of CA. Check it out, it's amazing to see the dramatic difference in rates for the same coverage!

Good luck!

Thanks for the insurance tips everybody. I'm going get a quote from Wawanesa. Allstate sucks @ss and I'm anxious to get rid of them.

Blue02~ I'm in SL too. We should get together at Latte Da some time, caffeine up and then go hit Redwood Road.

$366 for 6 months with State Farm! I was surprised about how cheap it was!! Full coverage (100/300/100) with $500 deductible. I used to get $500 for liability only from Nationwide for my old truck.

Some of my friends have SF too, and they said that they're wonderful about claims.

$800/yr with Wawanesa - $300 deductible for collision and $250 for comprehensive. Great coverage, high limits. The only complaint is rental car is $25/day with a 30 day max. Cannot get much for $25/day.

Someone tried to steal my S2000 last month and they are covering everything. The dealer thought they would only pay for a portion of the convertible top, since it is used, but they paid for all of it... Great claims service, etc.

Farmers Insurance was $1500/yr for the S2000, so I am saving almost half!!

I used to be with Mercury but paid $1200 for SIX MONTHS full
coverage. Moved with Progessive now but still $1100 for SIX MONTH!!

I am 22, one ticket but went to traffic school. One accident
back in 1999 so it's been 3 years I am sure. Oh, S2000 is
my only car and I'm the only driver.
